We are a happy family!

Ashlyn loves to count how many people are in our family- 5 people!

I loved having the girls come visit at the hospital.  They loved holding 

Baby Claire and taking pictures.

They are going to be great big sisters.

 Girls Rule!

I am so grateful that Grandma was able to watch the girls during the hospital stay.  These girls are blessed to have a wonderful Grandma.  They have been counting down the days until she was here.  They are having a party with her and getting so spoiled.

Claire's middle name is named after her wonderful and sweet grandma!

My little girls are so blessed to have the best dad in the world.

Derek and I were talking at the hospital and it has been fun to spend three whole days together on a little "vacation" with our sweet baby Claire.

The girls had so much fun helping out the nurse today, even though Ashlyn's face reads the opposite.

I absolutely feel so blessed to have these three adorable girls call me Mommy!

Welcome Claire!

We left this morning at 6:45 while it was 10 degrees outside. I was nervous that our cars wouldn't start (we have had our batteries not working well and replaced). They started up nicely and we drove to the hospital and got started. Things went fairly smoothly. Jenny didn't enjoy the pokes but overall did really great. I was watching youtube videos last night on C-section deliveries so I was excited to be able to watch. Our doctor was very kind and understanding. It was a great experience. Things went well. Claire came out fine and Jenny has been doing well (despite some low blood pressure and nausea). 

Claire was born at 9:38am, weighing in at 7lbs 9oz (same as Brinley), and 20.5 in. She has been fairly calm today.

Ashlyn and Brinley were so pleased to finally meet "Baby Claire" although Brinley was still pointing to Mommy's tummy saying, "Baby! Baby!"

Tammy, as per usual, was all teary to welcome another grandchild into her family. We were so glad she could be here. She is helping to lighten our burden and allow me to spend time with Jenny in the hospital with Claire. She is such a giving mother and grandmother.

We did a couple fun things this week but my computer died (Derek) and Jenny's isn't working great. I know what we will be buying on Black Friday! So here is a video of our home made family fun.

We love Halloween!!!

We look forward to Halloween every year!  This year we did the Peter Pan theme: Peter Pan, Hook, Tinkerbell, and Smee!

To start our Halloween day off right, we went to IHOP with Ashlyn's friend Adam and his family.  IHOP gives out free pancakes to kids 12 and under and they got to decorate their pancakes like pumpkins.  

Of course Brinley couldn't wait to eat the candy!  

(If you can't tell, she has a mouth full of oreos and candy corns while saying "cheese")

Every year the gardens put on a little trick-or-treating activity for the kids that live in Village Green.

We also went Trick-or-Treating at the Children's Museum!  The girls were so excited!

Ashlyn is enjoying her preschool classes.  This week we had our class Halloween Parties.  These are the cute kids in her classes.

Ashlyn is involved in so many activities!  For Halloween, the parents were able to watch the girls' dance class.  Ashlyn did such a great job!  She is learning a lot ballet moves.  

It was hilarious because they got to dress up for the class and Ashlyn was Elsa so I attempted to do a Elsa hairdo.  Well Ashlyn loved it!  As we were walking out of the door to class she said to me, "Mom, this is cool!" Well it turns out that she thought it was so cool that she spent 80% of the time admiring herself in the mirror during class.  Ha ha.  I asked her teachers if that happens each week, luckily the answer was no. They told me that Ashlyn is the best dancer in the class who is always listening and participating

.  

 She had her first violin concert this week.  She did amazing!  It has been fun for Derek and I to see Ashlyn love to play the violin.

It was pretty hilarious that during the concert Ashlyn and Hailey (her BFF- red haired girl next to Ashlyn) would have conversations while playing the violin.

We were sad to miss Grandma Martinson's annual soup bowl dinner and pumpkin carving family activity, so we created our own.  We invited our good friends Mike and Adri with their kids to join us in our soup and salad dinner followed by pumpkin carving!  It was a lot of fun!

We enjoyed our last day at Vala's!

Ashlyn would always like Brinley and I to go down the big slides with her, but she was so brave to go down by herself.  She probably went down them fifteen times!
