Derek bought a video camera to make a movie of our trips to Utah so most of our pictures our on that, but here are a few from the trip that we took on our phones.
This is how we work it at the airport! All the kids are becoming great travelers!
I feel so lucky as a parent to have ipads during traveling. (and so do my kids!)
Nana's first time holding her first grandson!
She was getting a few smiles.
I have learned through experience how to be a minimalistic traveler. This is all our luggage for a family of 7! My current method is to write everything we bring on an index card to check off whenever we pack our bags (keeping track of 5 kids is no easy task) and bring fewer clothes and do laundry during the visit.
We enjoy going to Nana and Grandpa's house. They made a dollhouse village for the girls to play with during our stay. The girls had so much fun! I think Nana really enjoyed the girls playing with the dollhouse that she played with as a little girl (the huge white one).
Auntie Maren is so sweet to the girls. She is always playing, reading, and teasing them. They have great memories with her. Nana didn't want to waste one minute. She wanted to soak up every minute with the kids. So she took a quick nap while holding Emmett.
Claire had so much fun with Pepper. She would always cuddle, feed, play, and even dress up with her.
Pepper is so patient!
Emmett gets to meet everyone.
Beautiful Bear Lake
Daddy and Ashlyn on the side-by-side
Grandma took the girls for a special treat to a little carnival! The girls had a fun time!
Stepping stones in progress
We were lucky to have Aunt Minnie join us after her long drive home from a cruise from Cali
S'more Time
Grandma Martinson always has great crafts and activities for the kids.
Shirt making... Ashlyn wears her shirt all the time!!!
Brinley and Katie made Brinley's shirt
Sweet Baby Emmett
Love climbing the rock wall
The girls meet Minnie's dog Theo and had a blast chasing him around the yard. Theo is so sweet with kids. The girls talk about Theo like he is a cousin...the love him.
Matchy matchy with Grandma
Another craft was making stepping stones for the cabin yard.
Playing yard games
(I bet Derek a 30 minute massage and I totally won)
Just chillin'
I love my boys!
Some of my favorite memories is just relaxing in the front yard with family- laughing and talking and watching the cousins make memories.
Blessing Day
We love Grandma Lewis
All the cousins on the Martinson side.
View in Centerville
Movie time!
We went to a movie with our awesome cousins and grandma to see Despicable Me 3.
It was my first time that I had the experience of having the fire alarm go off and we had to exit the building.... in return we got 3 free movie tickets per person so we are planning a future movie trip in December. It was totally worth the 30 minute intermission.
Our outside intermission huddle
We love going to the condo and spending time with family. It has become a fun and happy place for us and the kids.
Ashlyn has been looking forward for a year (no joke), to get a tattoo from Aunt Maren.
Nana had all these fun activities for the girls to playing together.
I love watching Nana play games and do activities with the kids. It is fun to watch her excitement!
Great Grandma Ashlyn
Necklace making
Movie time
After the kids were in bed, the grown-ups played this game... the dentist had a blast!
I love how uncle Mike is around all the nieces. So cute!
We got shakes at a locate gas station in Eden. It was so fun to try something new and have everyone together! Bonus: My shake was yummy!
Pretty cool machine
Snugglin' with Grandpa
Our flight was delayed by 5 hours and this was our saving grace- the ipad.
Nana was kind to supply us with Swedish Fish. The girls were so grateful while we were waiting for the news that our flight was delayed.
We finally made it back to Texas and our car keys were in back in Utah.
Getting off your flight around midnight and making it home at 3:30 in the morning is an interesting event for these tired folks.
