The trek to Disney World
The kids love staying at another house. This one was so spacious and had loves of games for kids.
We spent a lot of time doing races. We have some future runners in the group!
This little guy sure loves his mama! Morning snuggles!
I found a lizard in the master bathroom and this hero came to my rescue!
We stayed in Destin and went to the beach. It was a bit chilly, but there is something that is so special about the beach. It is perfect for all ages.
I am so impressed with Brinley and her ability to just be in the moment and get lost in savoring the moment.
My boys!
These two are becoming the best of friends
I love these moments when these two can play and get along. It was fun to watch them talk, laugh, and do something fun together. I soak up these small moments.
Dinner was so AMAZING! I love finding local spots that have a fun environment and delicious food. We found this spot because it had a lot of good reviews on google. Right when you walk in you are surrounded by money (Derek thought he walked into his heaven ha ha). The walls and ceiling were covered with one dollar bills. The whole restaurant had a fun atmosphere and yummy food. The menu said that it has over 1.5 million dollars hanging around.
It was one of our favorite places!
We all signed it and it will hang with all the others.
This is a section of the ceiling of $1 bills.
To top this fun night, the sunset was absolutely beautiful. The picture doesn't give it justice.
To start in our trip we went to the disney store so the kids could pick their one gift for the trip!
It is so hard to choose when it comes to disney!
We were glad that Ruth Ann and Scott could join us... this is how the kids welcomed them!
Day One: Magic Kingdom
Too cool to wait in this line.
Waiting in the long lines entertainment: Nature
Delicious treats
At one point we lost Emmett and here we was trying to get to Winnie the Pooh.
Day 2 Hollywood Studios
Derek, Ashlyn, and Scott wanted to get an early start by waking up at 4:30 to get tickets for the new Star Wars ride. I read online that the ride sells out in the first 7 minutes that the park is open.
This is what it looked like when they arrived at the park
Still before the park opened.... and luckily they got tickets!
They said it was an amazing ride!
This is a game that the girls would love to play while we were in lines.
(I don't enjoy the game!)
We rode the new Skyliner to the park. I absolutely loved it! It was so fun to see the beautiful scenery and be with great company!
Toy Story Land
Frozen sing-a-long
Little Mermaid ride
Disney Jr. Dance party
Day 3: Universal: Harry Potter World
Thanks Nana and Grandpa for our Harry Potter shirts!
I forgot the confirmation number and Scott was super nice to go back to the hotel to get the paper for it. While we waited Nana was so good at making up games and creating a fun memory instead of a frustration one that I was feeling at the beginning. Thank you Nana and Grandpa for saving the day!
A few nights before this, the girls were watching scooby doo and then they got to meet him. Ashlyn said, " He is kind of weird" ha ha.
Was laughing at this one with the penguin covering AShlyn's face
This was so cute!
Entering Harry Potter World!!!!
This was a fun interactive moment for us. The driver and bodyless man (can't remember his name) talked to each of the kids. It was so fun!
We are so grateful for the bond that these two have made over the past several months. I remember that reading Harry Potter over skype was a way that Scott wanted to connect with Ashlyn. It has been amazing the countless hours that they have read together and now that is Ashlyn's world right now. It has been fun to see Scott share his passion for reading with her through Harry Potter. She looked forward to weekends because they would spend time reading together.
I started to listen to the books with Ashlyn and Brinley and Ashlyn said that Grandpa reads it the best! Thank you Scott!
So this picture means so much to me, but I think it means even more to Ashlyn and Scott. It is a magical place (Harry Potter World) where the books that they have read together come to life. It was so amazing to experience it!

Trashy entertainment
This picture is just so darn cute!
Frozen Ride!
One of our family faves!
For the first time we got a dining plan (because we got all the kids can eat free) and so Epcot is the place I was so excited to feed my foodie heart and soul! We loved trying all the different foods and treats!
What a small world...Derek saw Kathy Greenwood, a convert from his mission (one of his favorites).
Mickey Bars!!!!
This was the best thing we at in Morocco- seasoned beef, humus, and chips! Yum!
Day 5 Magic Kingdom again!!
Scott and Ruth Ann were so kind to take Desi and Emmett back for a nap and we could go on the big kid rides with these three! We had a great time!
Derek was making us all sick by continually buying a treat after a ride. Ride- treat- ride - treat-...
Last day- tour of our resort ground and photoshoot
We enjoyed the Skyliner- our last ride
The resort had a class to teach you how to draw a Disney Character. Guess who we drew?
We had such a great time! We are so glad that Scott and Ruth Ann could go with us! We are so glad that we can make fun memories together.
