Ouray is absolutely beautiful! The pictures don't even give it justice! It was gorgeous.
It is tucked away in this mountain and it is a small town. They had signs in the town calling it Switzerland of America. It had waterfalls and beautiful scenery of the mountains/cliffs, and trees.
I loved the location of our motel. It was along a river. It had a beautiful sound and very relaxing. The kids loved the grass and rolled around in it. Texas grass is not a play you want to play in so we loved the "normal" grass.
It is so fun to be together again!
The kids are so lucky to have amazing aunts and uncles and extended family!
This town was so cute we had to go explore.
It was fun to be together. I serious whatever we are doing it is fun. The williams can make everything/anything fun!
The kids got a candy necklace treat
Even the night was magical
We couldn't wait to hit the trails and our first hike was so fun. We saw a waterfall near our motel and decided to hike it early in the morning. It was beautiful!
Look at those mountains!
Fun Uncle Trevor!
Waterfall!
Beautiful view of Ouray!
We created a caravan for the Million Dollar Highway. It was very beauitul.
We all made it to Silverton and got something to eat. We ate delicious BBQ and enjoyed an afternoon exploring the town.
On the way home, David found a natural spring and we wanted to check it out. It was small, but fun to hike to and explore. David is so adventurous and knowlegable. It was so fun to learn from him. It is like having our own personal tour guide, even if he has never been before.
We ALL went to the Hot Springs and had a fun evening talking and laughing together. It was so fun! The girls tried a swim test to do laps. Ash and Brin passed and Claire made it 2/3 the way. We were so impressed!
It was a great way to caught up with others.
Derek, Maren, David, Scott, Chris, and Trevor and I went on an adult hike called the perimeter hike around Ouray. It was so beautiful and diverse. I just couldn't get over the views. It was a lot of fun!
Sage is the pretty princess and our kids absolutely love hanging out with her and pampering her. I am so glad that they can enjoy other people's dogs! ha ha
We had a jam session with Aunt Amy and Kay. It was so fun! They brought their ukes and we had a blast.
We did a Jeep Tour and I think it was one of the best highlights of the trip! Everyone had a great time. It was fun to all be together and enjoy the scenery together. We explored places that we haven't been to and it was beautiful and very cold. The roads were on cliffs and it was scary but fun. The girls loved to pick out rocks. We all had a wonderful time!

Warming up after that cold ride
We were really lucky with weather. When it rained in Ouray we headed to Montrose and Black Canyon National Park.
When we went to Montrose, this is where Granny grew up and she took us to the cemetery and shared stories about her parents and grandparents. It was fun to hear!
Black Canyon State Park
The girls enjoyed doing the Junior Range Program and earned their badges
Maren making the silkworms dance to her music
One the way back from Montrose we saw a double full rainbow. It was amazing!
We did another hike called Box Canyon. It was a hike where you go into a cave with a waterfall. It is crazy how fast and powerful that waterfall is. It is even better to do with family.
Grandpa's favorite child: Sage!
When we were at the airport Claire said that she is Nana.
Nana work her mask like a headband during the Jeep tour.
Ouray was such an amazing trip! Thank you to Kelly for planning it! We loved everything about it!!! We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, hikes, waterfall, hot springs, million dollar highway, montrose, black canyon, music jam, our matching t-shirts, but the thing that we loved the most was spending time together and making amazing memories!
I am so full of gratitude for our extended family. There is a lot of fun and love!
Love y'all!
