Summer Fun!

I forgot to post about this earlier but Jenny and I went to Wicked! We really enjoyed it!

Our schedule for the summer is somewhat light as we are supposed to have time to study for boards (July). I have procrastinated studying very hard so far. Friday I got home at 12:30 and we had a fun day in the sun!

Jenny even got involved in the mess! She agreed to get wet if I did. Then she surprised us all and brought out another water gun and started spraying everyone!

She still didn't enjoy getting sprayed though!

Summer Buzz!

Friday night we went with a couple couples to the Sumter Outdoor Theatre in Papillion. We went a couple times last year and had lots of fun. They play movies and have music. This week they showed FROZEN! It was the most people they ever had in attendance and the kids loved it! It was fun to hear all the kids singing along with the songs. You may have caught Jenny and I singing along as well.

On Saturday we went downtown to Old Market and walked around. The girls had lots of fun.

Cute Pictures!!!

We let some friends borrow our baby bathtub and when they returned it Brinley was having a heyday playing with it!  She played around in it for about 20 minutes then all the giggling turned into frustration when the tub would tip over.
This little girl has some big shoes to fill!
The mornings with these girls are my favorite time of day.  We will sit around playing together and reading stories.  These two cute smiles are a great start to a great day!! I sure love them!
I absolutely love this picture!  This picture says a 1,000 words to me.  Ashlyn is such a great big sister!  She is always playing with Brinley, making her laugh, and sharing her toys.  Brinley looks up to her sister in so many ways.  I feel like Ashlyn is the one that can make her smile and laugh more than anyone else.  They are BFF!
One of our favorite places to go as a family is a grassy field across the street from Village Green.  On Saturday, we were playing frisbee as a family and Ashlyn threw the frisbee perfectly to her Daddy.  She has a great arm!

Ketchup!!!

This girl loves ketchup! When she asked if she could have ketchup with her French toast I thought, "why not? It's not any worse for you than syrup so go ahead."

Pre-school Graduation, G&G Martinson, and Whitecoat Ceremony!

Here are Jenny's students waiting in anticipation of their pre-school graduation.

Miss Jenny read a summary of each student's favorite things and what she thought they would grow up to be. And of course, her future guess for Ashlyn was that she would be a princess at Disneyland.

We enjoyed a walk at the botanical gardens by our house. It was beautiful and they have opened up new areas that we loved exploring

Grandma and Papa Martinson made it to visit this weekend! We were so excited! They had standby tickets through Delta and only Papa made it through on Thursday afternoon. Grandma was pretty discouraged she didn't get a seat but ended up making in on the next flight arriving in Omaha at 11:00pm. We were so glad they made it!

They have a really cool section in the gardens with trains that go around several tracks and Omaha built out of sticks/wood.

WHITE COAT CEREMONY! I wasn't super excited about the white coat ceremony until Jenny's parents were excited about it. It turned out to be a cool event!

Getting white-coated!

Repeating the "Dentist's Oath" about not enjoying other people's pain too much.

I felt like this event was as big of an accomplishment for this girl as it was for me. She has worked just as hard/if not harder than I have at times. I love her so much and am so grateful for her support. She has spent time alone, working hard with preschool, baby-sitting, helping the girls grow and learn, and doing it with a smile. And look how gorgeous she is! I am one lucky guy!

Brinley enjoying a great ride on Papa's shoulders!

Steve and I have grown close over the last two years. He has been one heck of a neighbor!

I gave the fam a tour of the clinic. I am just happy to be wearing a white coat and not a low-life blue one anymore!
