Bargain Shopper!

I just have to brag for a second. Jenny has wanted a second dresser for the girls clothes for a while now. She found one in craigslist for $40 so we went to get it today. I told jenny on the way that she had to offer $30 and see if the guy would take it. She did! And he accepted the offer! The funny part is that jenny only had two $20 bills so she had to ask him if he had $10 he could give her. He thought it was funny but found $10 in his house! Go Jenny!

Ashlyn's hard work!

Ashlyn, Brinley and I went shopping at Walmart and we were in the shoe section.  Within a few minutes of being there, Ashlyn comes waddling over to me wearing some high heel little girl shoes (because the shoes were still clamped together) and said, "Mom, look how darling!!! Can we get them!"  I couldn't resist, they are so adorable.  But I didn't dare to without Daddy's permission because it cost more than I would buy my shoes.  She calls Derek and says, "Daddy I love you so much!  I have these shoes and they are so darling dad!  Can I get them!"  Now this girl know how to work her dad into saying yes and she is definitely my little shopper.  Whenever she wants something, she always says, "Mom, look how darling!  Can I get it?  Ashlyn can't wait to show everyone when she gets to Utah!
So to earn the shoes, she had to do 10 chores and every time she completed a chore, she got to fill in a square of the shoe.  It took her over a week to color in the whole shoe, but she deserves it! She worked so hard!

So walking out the door today to go to church, Ashlyn fell in her high heel shoes.  She will have to learn that working in high heels is an art and hard work!

So I am reading Hansel and Gretel (thanks Grandma Williams) before bedtime and Derek was able to capture this picture.  Got to love Brinley's face!!!  My girls love books!

So I was in Brinley's room with the girls cleaning the blinds and I leave the room for a minute and this is what I come back to.  Ashlyn decided to play beauty parlor with Brinley.

I forgot to add this picture with the 4th of July pics, but Brinley sure loved the watermelon we had that evening.  She downed 3 slices of watermelon!

This morning during ward council I guess daddy and the girls were having a party at home taking picture of the reflection from the balloon we got from the store yesterday!

Happy 4th of July!!!

To start of the celebration of the 4th of July, we went to the College Home Run Derby on July 3rd.  This year it was amazing to watch these great College Players followed by a firework show that was amazing!  There is something so magical about watching fireworks with the ones we love! We were amazed at how long the firework show lasted, about 8 full songs!  It was so fun!!!

So this isn't the best picture, but Brinley was crawling under the seats at the baseball game and found some popcorn under the seats.  If they found an empty container of popcorn, it was Brinley!!

We got back so late from the Home Run Derby, Ashlyn slept in til 9:30am and Brinley 10am.  They woke up to a delicious "Firework" (mixed colors of red and blue) waffle and eggs!

I am so happy that Brinley's hair is finally long enough for ponytail.
She looks like an adorable little girl!

After breakfast, there was a Village Green Kids Parade where everyone decorates their bikes and wagons and have a parade down the street.  The kids had a great time!

Brinley will now say cheese whenever I take her picture.  Hopefully soon she will get the smile and cheese down in unison while taking her picture.

After the parade, Ashlyn was racing with our neighbors down the street.

Happy America Day!!! (That is what Ashlyn calls the 4th).

Daddy with his two cute girls!  It was a 4th of July miracle that he went to the parade.  His favorite part was when he called out to a Star Wars Character said, "It's a trap!" and the guy froze. Ha ha. Derek loved it!  (I think you have to be a Star War Fan to understand- I had no idea what Derek was yelling out in front of this parade crowd).

I absolutely love this picture!  While daddy was pulling them in the wagon, Ashlyn put her arm around Brinley and they cuddled together.  They are best friends!!! I can't wait until we have our third little angel join these munchkins (our Ashlyn says munchkin, chunkmins).

Brinley discovered a new trick she could do, holding her one leg up in the air.  Everytime, she would hold it and look at me with this big proud smile, but this is the best shot that I got!  I wish I got a picture of that big smile.  But it looks like we are going to have a gymnast in our bunch.

I wanted to get a picture of Ashlyn, but she decided to do poses for the camera with the flag.
