To start our Spring Break Week, we went to a local Art Museum and got our Art Hands Moving! We went with many of our friends!
Brinley created this masterpiece out of magnetic shapes.
Ashlyn found her old math book from last summer and went to town! She loves learning!
We bought Easter Eggs and had an Easter Egg Hunt!
On Tuesday we met some of our friends at the mall to eat Chick-fil-a and play in the playplace! The girls spotted this sign and had to take a picture!
They are in a phase where they love unicorns!
A fun new way to eat raspberries!
Wednesday we went to Houston for a couple of days.
Our first stop was the Children's Museum and it was so crazy busy! Despite the crowd the kids loved it!

Thursday: Woodland Mall
We spoiled these girls and let them buy one toy from the Disney Store!
It was so much fun watching the girls try to figure out which toy to buy. We had Ashlyn who had to check out each toy, Brinley wanted an 8 princess barbie set which cost $130 (which of course we directed her to change her mind ; ), Claire wanted every toy should could get her hands on and then switch every minute, and Desi was so distracted/overwhelmed with the toys that her sisters would hand her, "Desi you want this?"
Happy Shoppers!
Ashlyn: Merida Bow and Arrow
Brinley: Rapunzel Doll
Claire: Elena Wand
Desi: Little Mermaid Bubble Machine
Our clan all in a row with their new toys.
Right after our toy purchase, we headed outside to enjoy them!
We went for a walk around the beautiful trail and lake.
Des was in heaven with her new Little Mermaid Bubble toy.
We took a shuttle for a little adventure.
We ended up making a stop at the local library.
Daddy was so cute and gathered all the girls around to read a few stories.
We parked the car to go to the mall and Derek notices that the car next to us has a low tire. He does a service by pulling out the tire pressure machine he got from his parents for Christmas. Derek absolutely loves that gift!
Picnic outside
When we travel as a family we rent out a house from airbnb and we have had many positive experiences, until this trip. After the long day of traveling and spending the day at the children's museum we were so excited to see the house that we rented for the next few days. Well we walk in and it smells old and musty. The smell brought many memories of when I was little and my family would clean out the apartments that my parents owned when someone would move out. Being pregnant my smell sense is a lot stronger too. Then their was duct tape on many walls in the house, dirty towels in the hallway, bath tub dirty with hair, and to top it off died bugs in the fridge. The only thing that was good was this playground in the backyard for the kids. Well Derek and I decided that it would be best to rent a different house. The lady refused to refund our money (so we are working with airbnb and I am just so glad Derek took pictures of the negative things of the house).
Getting a different house was the best decision for the trip because we absolutely loved the house we got!
Our last day we went to Chuck E Cheese for the first time. The kids were in heaven and had a blast!
Derek and I divided and conquered. Derek took the two older kids and I took the two younger.
This was the first game that Claire played and she won 26 tickets!
Desi's favorite was the machines where you can hit.
Before we left Daddy had to try a Motorcycle game that brought back fond memories for him when he would ride Motorcycles back in the good ol' days.
Got to love that face!
Happy St. Patrick's Day
We made rainbow placemats.
Then we played a few games of chance. The first one was Bunco and the second game was you roll the dice and have to see what color you get then you can eat the food that is that color.
(I forgot to take pictures during the games).
What the kids woke up to...
Taste the Rainbow Game
Red: apples, Oranges: mandarin oranges, Yellow: pineapples, Green: green jello, Blue: blue fruit loops, and Purple: grapes
I bought a game called Qwirkle for Christmas and we finally opened it on Sunday. After the kids are in bed Derek and I like to do our own tournament. We have played it every night since. It is a lot of fun!
We had a MOPS playgroup and it was Messy Art Day!
Foam paint
Shaving cream with dye
Paint with veggies
Paint a masterpiece on the fence
Played on the playground
This tether ball brought back memories of Helen's house (my babysitter growing up). She had one in her backyard and we would have competitions. I can say "humbly" I was the best! ha ha.
Claire loved this bridge and wanted me to take her picture.
She is super cute!
Sandbox
The girls have been earning lots of money and I haven't given them an opportunity to buy anything so we took a trip to the Dollar Store and Brinley was so excited to use her own money to buy a painting kit!
Ashlyn's current project for her Art Class. She learned that she hates paper mache. Her class worked on this project for a couple of weeks and one week she cried to me that she didn't want to go (which isn't like her to not want to go to art class). She told me that she hates paper mache! It was a great opportunity for me to teach her that it has been so great for her to be exposed to all sorts of art and we listed all the projects that she has done throughout the year. Then I explained that it is a great way to learn what you like and what you don't, but it is important to finish the project. That day she went grudgingly, but she came home really happy because she completed the project!
I don't have a picture of the back, but it has a pipe cleaner that is all curled up for the tail... It turned out so cute. This is an awesome purple pig!
Wow! I think that I am in nesting mode. I have been wanting to get Baby Emmett's room all ready and I am excited for how I think it will turn out.
I asked on my MOPS facebook page if anyone is selling their nursery set and this is what I bought. I love the whale theme.
After I figured out the theme, I went to Hobby Lobby and searched Pinterest to get ideas of how to decorate the room. This is what I came up with...I bought the anchor, had these old frames in storage, and I made the whale pictures.
Then I made these as well.
Now I just need to get Derek to hang it all up! I am so excited!
Derek and I were talking about how spoiled this baby is because Desi is in the room now it was was not decorated, just mainly used for storage.
Another job I just completed was the half bath by the kitchen. I just never liked it in there, so I finally made a change and this is how it turned out.
