Guys night!

It has been a long couple weeks of midterms and practicals. Jenny was nice enough to let me have a guys night out getting wings and going bowling. Had a great time and forgot that I have a social life personality!

Lunch with Daddy!

Derek forgot his lunch today and so I called him to see if we could bring it to him. He had a great idea that we should go out for lunch, which is very rare to have Derek want to go out to eat for lunch, so I could not deny the offer. So we picked up Daddy at school and went to lunch at California Taco. It was delicious and it was the highlight of our day today!

The joy of sisters playing nicely together :-). Ashlyn loves playing under the blanket with Brinley. They are constantly giggling together.

Mud Pies

We went to mud pies yesterday at a local privately owned forest. They have a little program for little kids where we can do many fun activities. The girls had lots of fun!

New stuff!

Funny story: Ashlyn and I went to our local grocery store a few nights ago. We were walking around the store and noticed that the music over the speakers wasn't coming in really well.  It sounded like it had bad reception. Ashlyn looked around while listening and then looked at me, "I think the store needs new batteries."  This sure gave me a laugh. 

 Mom and Maren got me these suspenders and bowtie for Christmas.  I like the new look.  The suspenders were super comfortable too!

 We got a new camera (Canon T3i) and external flash this week.  Needless to say, we've had fun taking some inside pictures.  The external flash really makes a difference in giving the picture a much natural look by adding light to the whole room, not just to the subject.

 Each night, Ashlyn begs us to let Brinley lay with her for a minute in her bed. Lately, Brinley has really begun to enjoy it.  One night this week, Brinley was very tired and had been fussy. Ashlyn asked if Brinley could lay by her and I said okay even though I thought she wouldn't be happy.  I laid her down and Brinley immediately began shaking her arms out of excitement. The relationship between these two is really beginning to blossom.

 Brinley is just a little bundle of joy!  She is very happy and easily content.

Mom is a little behind the times when it comes to the age that soda drinking is appropriate.  I think Brinley is okay with it though.

Ashlyn went to a birthday party for a friend, Chloe, last night. She was able to dress up as Cinderella and had a great time.

Brinley in her first crawling experience. If she wants something bad enough, like an Ariel princess doll then she will crawl to get it. She takes after her sister with her passion for Disney Princesses.

We got pizza for Friday Night Pizza and Ashlyn loved it so much that she wanted to share some with Brinley.
