Christmas Break in Utah

The Christmas tradition at Grandma Martinson's house- The Cousin Polar Express
Grandma makes this so magical and fun at her house.

 The driver

Ashlyn was showing everyone her new hobby of art by doing the Art Hub for Kids on Youtube.

Cousin Fun at Kangaroo Zoo (Ashlyn refused to be in the picture).

This moment lasted one minute, but I enjoy watching all the kids plan, play, and interact together.  We love cousin time!

Desi loved to explore with Grandma.

The kids absolutely loved the snow!  They wanted to be outside to play in it.

Brinley wanted to explore everywhere in the snow.  My first reaction was I am cold, let's go inside, but these girls were thrilled to be in the snow and didn't mind the cold.

We went to the movie Ferdnand with all the cousins.

Minnie and Brandon are the best!  They were so kind and on Christmas Eve they took all the nieces and nephews to Build-A-Bear and bought each one a stuffed animal.  It was a fun experience for everyone!  All the kids loved it!  Thank you Minnie and Brandon!

Christmas Eve Bingo

We did a fun nativity reenactment where the kids did a great job being the characters and then we would sing songs as a whole group at certain moments of the play.
The actors and actresses did an amazing job!

I loved their idea of using their stuffed animals as the sheep

This isn't the clearest picture, but I love seeing all the kids with their new pjs and stuffed animals.

Christmas Morning
One of my favorite things about Christmas is the stocking!  I love how my mom still does stockings and makes them so special!  I hope to pass that love of stockings along to my kids.

This picture is priceless!  I love watching my kids interact with their Great Grandparents.  It has been fun for the kids to skype with Granny every other week for the past couple of months doing storytime in the evening.  It has been a great way for them to be connected.
I love how my girls were performing for Granny and Gramps.

Granny, Gramps, and Kris had us over for breakfast one of the mornings we were there.  It was so delicious and it was so fun to catch up with them!

Oh Pepper is such a great sport when we come to visit.  He is always being snuggled and loved.  He is very patient with the kids and never gets upset.  We love Pepper! There are many photos throughout this post that shows the girls just gravitate towards Pepper.

Puzzles!

Uncle Trevor was so sweet to these cute girls!  He performed the nutcracker with these girls by lifting them up while they leaped in the air and danced with them.  He even recorded them with individual performances.  They are so lucky to have an awesome uncle!

Ashlyn got an art kit for Christmas. Grandpa was teaching Ashlyn how to take care of her paints by opening and closing the lid. (all in Ashlyn's words).

We had a game night!

Aubrey got a game for Christmas that was so fun.  The idea of the game is that you have to lip read.  We had a lot of good laughs playing.

We played another game (can't remember the name of it).  We put down all the tiles and so it must go down in history in the Williams Family Book.  Also I want to remind everyone that I won that game...ha ha.

Matching with Aunt Maren in a rocking chair just Desi's size.

We enjoy visiting Grandma and Grandpa Robertson.

We went to support Dave by hearing him sing at a local restaurant. He has the most amazing voice.  We enjoyed it.  Well after smelling the wonderful food, we got hungry and we couldn't eat at the restaurant because they were short staffed and it would be over an hour wait.  So we went to get Indian food instead and it was delicious!

The girls sure love Uncle Dennis!
He is teaching them to fight.

Nana got a box of dress-ups from her neighbor and the girls had a blast dressing up.

We love to go on walks with the family!

Uncle Trevor was helping Ashlyn compose her own music!  Nana even made a music bind for Ashlyn of all the music.

We celebrated Dennis' birthday by going to dinner as a family.  We are so blessed to have Dennis in our family.  He is very special and he will be greatly missed when he joins the Navy!

Aunt Aubrey was so kind to give up her room and she slept on the couch! She is a trooper.  We love her!
Of course she is sleeping with her phone in her hands...ha ha.

My kids are the luckiest to have great Aunts and Uncles!

I am sad that this picture was so blurry.  Oh how much the girls love Nana.  I used to get jealous when we would stay at their house because my girls wanted nothing to do with me because they got so much love and attention from Nana, Grandpa, and everyone else.

We went back to the Martinson's and had an early New Year's Eve Party.
Brinley was teasing Papa and laughing so hard.  It was so adorable!

I love this picture!  It captures my grandma with Brinley and Brinley's fun and giggly personality.

The girls with Grandma Lewis!  It is fun to see them with her.

Celebrating with necklaces, poppers, hats, glow in the dark sticks, and lots of noise!

Our phones were having plenty of moments on the trip (which makes me sad), but this is a moment that MUST go down in history.  My dad never plays games with us and we FINALLY got him to play games with us!!!!  And you won't believe it- but he won AND he had fun!!!! You can even see that HUGE grin even in the blur!
We hope this will spark his desire to play games in the future!

We love our families!  We are so glad that we could out for Christmas and celebrate the best time of the year with everyone!  We love y'all!
