Summer Wraps Up

Emmett loves the bike trailer. He can often be found hopping into it on his own, subconsciously hoping it will go on it's own.

On Grandma and Papa Martinson's back deck.

After Parker's baptism. Jenny absolutely adores Helen, and always enjoys catching up.

Bear Lake. The kids all get spoiled with Sunny D.

Roasting Mallows.

Hot tubbin.

This guy turned 60 believe it or not. He's been a great father-in-law, except for the time we fought about whether or not the old oven needed to be cleaned before selling it. Other than that though, he's been a pretty good guy, and I enjoy seeing him. He's my golfing buddy.

Getting shakes.

This is probably my favorite view at Bear Lake.

Switching to the Williams side... we had a great time at the condo. And we had a great surprise! Trevor came home! We had no idea he would be there.

Sunset from the back porch of the condo.

Golfing with Dad and Trevor. Ashlyn was a great driver, most of the time.

Love these brothers. They always bring energy and fun to our family get togethers.

While we were playing ping pong and foosball, this girl was in the other room rowing away...

When these two were talking, it reminded me of old friends getting back together. They really enjoy each other's company.

Our last night together, the girls slept in Grandpa and Nana's tent trailer.

This kid... he will go up to any adult male and throw his arms up and ask to be picked up. And most of the time, he gets what he wants. This was at Chuy's after the airport.

These girls love to color-cordinate or match clothes.

Sunday Sundaes! This guy devours his ice cream! Ever since his first bite of ice cream at chick fil a in the mall, he's had a deep love for ice cream.

These girls loved art camp!

Late night Pool Party! These girls pretty rarely get to see the sun go down, unless their on vacation, so this is always a special occasion.

Sunse from the pool party.

This beautiful lady right here, man, I just can't get enough time with her. The favorite night of my week EVERY week is our date nights. We just soak up the time that we get. We enjoy driving to Nac and eating at Macklemore's or Auntie Pasta's. This picture below was our venture to 4 different dollar stores to find a shirt that Jenny saw a woman wearing at Auntie Pastas. We were walking out of the restaurant and I opened the door but Jenny wasn't there. I turned around and she was talking to a couple back a ways. It seems this happens everywhere we go, she can be found making new friends or talking to current ones. Well, in this case she saw a shirt she loved and she had to find out where the woman got it. Thus the adventure to the dollar stores. We didn't end up finding it but we did find some texas longhorns in this field.

We have loved our summer of different trails. We go on one just about every week, maybe multiple times.

I've started a new podcast at the Lifestyle Practice! My closet is the quietest place I can find, so that is where the magic happens.

This poor manchild wore himself out and fell asleep in between the two couches. (They were put this way because Jenny had been cleaning the carpets.)

We found a new adventure spot: Boykin Springs. We had a blast!

It's fun to see these girls looking at the books Jenny has made, filled with our memories of years past.

This guy was getting so frustrated trying to get these on. After a little help from Dad, he displayed the proudest smile...

A few times this summer, Ashlyn has accompanied me to the gym. For any of you thinking we go easy on those days, think again. We go hard. Pull-ups, 1 mile run, push-ups, deadlifts, etc. We have a good time. It's nice to have some competition!

We discovered some new trails in Nac.

A few weeks ago I got a drone, similar to the one Dad got a year or so ago. It has been an absolute blast.

I made this video using footage from the drone:

Mom had some Young Women's meetings (she is now the YW President). So we had a tea party, with cookies, and marshmallow flaming.

He loves finding snacks any time possible.

But is also a good helper.

Yesterday was our last day of summer, before  school starts. We had a day full of fun. We went on a walk at the Azalea trails in Nac.

We had lunch at Cafe Del Rio. It is definitely our favorite place to eat as a family. When we came with my parents, we laughed when my mom put the extra salsa in a water cup and took it home. Now we find ourselves doing it every time. Thanks Mom!

Back to the house for a pool party.

Then back home to set up the tent for a movie night and sleepover!

And can't finish off the night without a little dessert. Jenny got mint chocolate chip ice cream, with mint oreos, and mini M&Ms.

A few videos I've finished recently:

This was just a walk of one of the forest hike areas.

Ashlyn and I's Frozen music video.

Compilation of DFW trip from a few weeks ago.

Thanks for tuning in! If you made it to the end, give yourself a pat on the back!
