Critters!

We have been seeing lots of fun critters since living here in "Deep East Texas". Seen below is a little lizard/gecko/chameleon found in our kitchen pantry.

I sprayed our house for bugs and for the next few days we were finding cockroaches coming out of the corners and dying.

Chick-fil-A Day! We always have fun dressing like cows and getting free food!

Brinely and Claire having picnics with lanterns.

Ashlyn practicing her selfie's.

Brinley loves her baby sister. Sometimes the baby gets smothered, but at least they get smothered with love.

Ashlyn is such a helper around the house. She wanted to help me (Dad) paint the laundry room. I let her go at it and she painted almost the whole room entirely by herself. I was very impressed.

Desiree has begun sucking on her two fingers, the same two that Brinley still sucks on today when she is tired.

We had dinner at the Bates house. He is the dentist I purchased the practice from. They are the nicest couple. The girls were so glad to get back on a set of swings!

Movie night!!!

Packing all the letters that were sent out to patients announcing the retirement of Dr. Bates, and the new guy coming in. It was a very kind letter. I posted it on our facebook page, "Lufkin Family Dental".

Jenny and I went out to celebrate on the evening of the day that we closed on the practice. Jenny's mom was here and watched the girls while we went out.

Jenny has been hard at work for 6 weeks now. Painting, envisioning, buying, decorating, etc. Things are really starting to come together. We will try and post some pictures of how things are looking now, soon.

Claire knows the best thing to feed her baby!

It has been fun to have the girls in the practice here and there. They enjoy it and the staff have been really great to them. I cemented Jenny's crown this week, on the tooth I did a root canal a few months ago in school.

We had our first run-in with fire ants. We were in the backyard and I heard a frantic scream from Claire. It didn't take long to figure out what it was. I started swinging her legs in the pool to try and get them off. I had heard how bad they can be so I immediately gave her benadryl, cleansed it, rubbed hydrocortisone creme, put ice and elevated it. Luckily she never had any of them blister up too bad, never complained after the initial bites.

Brinley's sun screen job!

Ashlyn loves her primary teacher Sister Griselle!

And the girls love nursery together!

Ashlyn had her first ever dental appointment this week! She got a cleaning and xrays and is in our cavity free club!

A sneak peak at Jenny's hard work!
