A week with the best Aunt Minnie!!!

We are so glad that Minnie was able to spend so much time with us.  She is such a wonderful sister and aunt to my girls.  Ashlyn didn't even want to play with her friends (which is a big deal) because she wanted to spend all her time with 

Minnie.  We had a blast!  Thanks for coming out Min!!!

Before Minnie came to our house for the week, Ashlyn and I made a map of the

 places we wanted to go during her visit.  We had five places: sand in the city, children's museum, splash pad, zoo, and the forest.  We completed all five and Ashlyn was able to put an X through each place on her map!  Now she loves to draw maps while we are driving in the car.

Ashlyn had so much fun with Minnie at the splash pad.  She couldn't stop giggling and laughing with Minnie!  This was the most fun that she has had at the splash pad!!!

The girls (or should I say Daddy) got a new toy called Magformers.  They love it and can spend hours playing with them building balls, rockets, houses, and even fishes (daddy).  I think Derek likes these toys even more than the girls.

Brinley loves playing peek-a-boo. 

 

We had a such a fun day playing at the zoo!  One little monkey swing from the tree!

Minnie and Ashlyn took an adventure in the Jungle. 

We found out a little secret about Minnie, she is terrified of .... butterflies!  (Sorry Minnie I had to post it).  But Ashlyn is the opposite.  They have this building that is an indoor butterfly building and we were walking the path inside and Ashlyn saw a butterfly and laid down on the path to watch and observe every move it made.  She was so fascinated by it!

Minnie's favorite part was the walk in tunnel of the Aquarium with sharks, 

stringrays, seaurtles, and many fish.

For FHE we went to the Winter Quarters Visitor Center.  We had the cutest sister missionary give us a tour.  It was fun to learn more about the early saints and how much we have to be grateful for because of the sacrifices that they made.

We also went to the children's museum and had a dance party with Princess Rose.  Ashlyn was in heaven singing Disney Songs and dancing with her favorite princess.
