Derek's update

Jenny has done most of the posting lately so I need to get my content up here.

As far as life for me, things are going really well. I have an amazing staff and the practice transition has gone really well in the first six months. I've grown a ton clinically and am still learning so much each day. There are ups and downs but I wouldn't have things any other way.

Below, the girls went with me to get a blow up Frosty to put in front of the office. They were awesome helpers.

This girl enjoys sleeping with a leg outside the crib.

Santa came a week early because he knew how difficult it would be to take presents home from Utah. It was a magical day for us. The girls took all day to open presents because they wanted to play with their toys.

We were excited to get some fun games from Nana and Grandpa Williams.

The girls each received different coloring and art stuff. They have spent hours and hours sitting together at the kitchen table coloring and painting.

Who ever thought we would go swimming on Christmas?

If the dental work doesn't break my back, these girls will!

The girls always want to learn something new with swim lessons. So we practiced diving. It was tough at first.

After a while, Ashlyn started to really get the hang of it. She just kept going over and over.

Ashlyn wanted to learn how to do this special trick.

She'll get there with a little more practice.

Off to Utah! The plane ride wasn't too bad. Claire and Desi were the tough ones. This girl finally fell asleep after a while.

This girl was excited to be on a plane!

Nana and Grandpa picked us up at the airport both wearing Santa hats. It was special for me to see them. Made me feel so blessed to have such great and fun parents. I don't know why but I was just expecting to be picked up curbside so it was a great surprise to see them waiting for us.

This girl was happy to see her Uncle Trevor again!

We had a family talent show and had a lot of fun.

On Christmas morning we went on a scavenger hunt to find out what we were getting for Christmas! It is a trip to Disney World! We are all so excited. It is the first week in February!

Off to Grandma and Grandpa Martinsons! The girls had a great time seeing their cousins.

Grandma teaching how to play "Button button who has the button"

Desi sure loved this dancing reindeer.

Reading stories with Uncle Mike.

We had a dance party at the church in Salem. It turned out to be a lot of fun. It was great seeing Grandma and Grandpa Robertson as well as Carl and Lea. Funny we had to go all the way to Utah to see Carl and Lea now that we both live in Texas.

Horsey Rides from Uncle David!

Admiring the snow with Nana.

I don't miss the mountains that much until I'm in Utah again. Then I am just amazed at their beauty. You don't realize what you've got til it's gone.

The Van De Graaff's came and visited us at Grandma Martinsons. The girls loved seeing them again.

Jenny was absolutely thrilled to see Mindy again.

Grandma Martinson took us to the Kangaroo Zoo! Lots of blow up toys that were so much fun! I was impressed with the girls climbing abilities. Even Claire made it to the top of this steep one. And didn't even hesitate sliding down the steep slide.

On our way home again!

Ashlyn won some prizes at school for being an outstanding student. She loves her shark Snuggie seen below!

This little one doesn't want to crawl but has started scooting!

I asked for toys for Christmas. One of my favorite has been converting our kitchen table into a ping pong table.

Jenny started reading a chapter book to the girls. Ashlyn is the main one that loves to listen at this point. And she will listen for as long as Jenny will read.

After our date night we came home to find our baby sitter, Sable, asleep on not the large couch or love seat, but this small chair. Sable has been a great blessing for our girls. She is very kind and loving. The girls love seeing her at church every week as well.

Thanks to our fun videos on youtube by KidSnippets, sometimes we will mouth each other to pretend like we are lip syncing. Brinley was doing it tonight.

Claire has a sneaky toe!
