Blueberry Farm Adventure

This week we went to a Blueberry Farm and picked blueberries. It was so much fun!!! I loved being together and trying something that we have never done before.  These girls were so cute with their excitment being in nature and doing something to simple as pick berries.

Des loved to pick and put them in the bucket too.

We enjoyed our almost 2 lbs of blueberries that we ate in one day.
It was so hot... these cuties earned an icee

That evening for family night, we also made fruit pizzas with strawberries and blueberries that we picked earlier that day.

We got this ballons for Ashlyn's birthday (January) and they have been chilling up on our ceiling for months.  This week it decided to come down.  One down, one still holding strong.
The girls were so excited to catch it!  They have been having a blast throughing it over our banister to catch it when it falls.

We have high ceilings- the purple one is still there.

This is my dear friend Jennifer, who has been my running partner for this school year.  She is truly amazing and inspiring.  She has an amazing story where she just started running 4 years ago (never ran in her life) and now she has ran 1/2 iron man, marathon, 8 1/2 marathons, and many little 5-10k.  She has lost over 120 lbs just from running.  It is great to have a running partner to experience many adventures together including our "creepy" guy together.

This is us 6 in the morning all sweaty and gross.

Nicholette and I did a girls trip this week!  I had an absolutley blast with her.  I am so best to have one of my best friends come visit and when we reconnect it is like we have never stopped being roommates.  I love her to death!  She is always making me laugh, motivating me to be a better mom, person, and friend.  Nicholette thanks for coming to visit!

We did a road trip to Waco and visted the Silos

We went to this amazing taco restaurant called Torchy's Tacos.  It was AMAZING!!!
This sign made me laugh....it is so true!

We also went to Clint's workshop.

It was fun to have no plans and go by the seat of our pants.  We went to get a pedicure, walmart (we were the only white people), ate at a mexican resturant almost every meal (Texas has great Mexican) and enjoyed our facials.
I won't blow this one up for your sake. ha ha

We went to a boutique in Waco called Spice Village.  It was a cool atmosphere and had amazing decor.  I love how we share a love and passion of decor.

Derek is so sweet to let me take girls trips once in awhile to be "me" and refresh.  He is so amazing to take care of all the girls and have a blast while I am gone.  I will have him post pictures of their weekend.  It is fun to recieve pictures while I am gone to see what they are up to and having fun together.  Derek really is the best husband and daddy!

I got home just in time to celebrate Mother's Day!  I love this holiday...probably a little too much!  Derek spoiled me with letting me sleep in (7am), enjoy actually getting ready for church and taking my time, breakfast, and the girls hand picked these flowers.  My favorite is hearing why everyone loves me...I soak it all up.

My roommate from BYU came with her hubby and 4 kids.  We did a bbq and hung out catching up!  I was blessed with some great roommates!

We surprised Ashlyn at school to have lunch with her at school.  We love to see Ashlyn and we are so excited that she only has a week left of school.  WE ARE EXCITED FOR SUMMER!!!!!

Ashlyn and her friend Madilyn

I love how they love to read books in the front of the school.  The small furniture makes it so nice and cozy.

After we had lunch with Ashlyn, we walked her back to class and she gave Brinley a kite that she made during class. Brinley was so excited to try it and kept running up and down the halls.  These are the moments that I love when my girls love and serve each other.

For young womens this week we did a service scavenger hunt at the Lufkin Mall.  It was really fun where we thanked employers for working hard, picking up trash, holding the door open for customers, and inviting people to join us at church on Sunday. It was funny to see these girls step out of their comfort zone.  I enjoy serving with the young women.
