Our visitors from UTAH!

We have been counting down the days until Nana, Grandpa, Dennis, and Aubrey came to visit us. Dennis and Aubrey chose to come hang out with us for a week for their senior trip. We are SO glad they did! We had so much fun together.

Warm embraces.

Unfortunately we only have so many beds and rooms. Dennis was the odd man out during the stay and slept on the couch. However, he did have frequent charlie horses that necessitated a switch with Aubrey for a couple nights.

Morning walk around the neighborhood

Our first adventure was going to the Cherokee Trace Drive-Thru Safari. We took food and had a little picnic before going through.

Brinley and Claire found an animal before we even started

Aubrey pretending to kill a deer.

Aubrey about to get eaten by a bull.

Desi loved seeing the animals up close. Her momma was more scared than she was.

This little girl was on a power trip. She wanted to drive and would get upset when I turned the steering wheel a different way than she wanted it to go.

Movie Night: Grandpa and Nana hadn't seen Moana yet so we made them watch it. It is one of our favorites.

The next day we went to Pecan Park in Nacogdoches. It was a lot of fun, and a beautiful day. These girls miss swinging on swings. Soon after this photo, Claire was flipped out of the swing, landing on her face. She got right back up and wanted to keep swinging though!
 Cheese!

We went for a hike through the trail that goes past the park.
(I'm still trying to figure out what Netflix Nachos are...)

Fire Ants:

Dennis was pretty out of shape, so he was trying to burn off more calories.

On Sunday we laid low, went to Church, watched family videos, and went to see the new (old) dental office.

Speaking of family videos, I don't think I've posted my finished video of Disney World so here it is:

Enjoying some good conversation.

Next stop: Galveston! We were worried about the weather. The forecast said it was going to be dark and rainy for the days that we were going to be there. We decided to just make the best of it and it ended up being so wonderful.

Jenny found out about the Rainforest Cafe in Galveston. She has been to them in Florida and Vegas. For the rest of us, it was our first time.

Jenny never backs down from an opportunity to show something new and fun to the girls.

Brinley got so hungry she started eating her fingers. Nana couldn't bear to watch

After dinner we went for a ride that was part of the cafe.

Now to find our beach house! We hadn't stayed in a beach house before so we were excited for what it would be like. It was magical to be somewhere right by the ocean.

This was our view from the deck, windows, porch swings... beautiful.

This little girl was Grandpa's buddy during their stay. She has become more and more picky with people over the last few months but she did not want to leave Grandpa's side while he was here.

Kite Flying:

Fun with Aunt Aubrey!

What a fun uncle!

Don't mind the rear end of the guy just trying to find some ice cream.

Had fun playing games while the girls slept. We played Guesstures where the guys won the girls, although it was close, Dennis pulled through for us at the end for the W. We played Trifecta (or something like that) and enjoyed testing our knowledge of random information.

Caught Jenny yawning.

Another view from the front deck.

See what I mean? This girl didn't want to leave her grandpa. At one point, he got up to go wash up in the ocean. She started crying with her arms outreached toward Grandpa.

Luckily he came back.

Aubrey is crabby.

This girl didn't particularly enjoy the water touching her. This chair was perfect for her. She could play in the sand, but when the waves came in, she could back up and get away from the water.

Niece torture! (The victim is Aubrey if you couldn't tell)

We were so sad to say goodbye but we will see everyone in just a few weeks!
