Special Visitors: Nana and Grandpa!

We were so excited to have Nana and Grandpa stay with us. We always have a good time. Jenny saw a friend that had a 'pig dinner' where you dont' use your hands to eat. We decided to do that while Grandpa and Nana were here.

We made it Halloween themed, eating witches eyeballs, spider webs, and drinking pumpkin juice.

Feel free to print this one out and hang it on your fridge.

The girls really enjoy all the personal attention that they get when Grandpa and Nana are here. And Grandpa loves reading to the girls.

Claire's favorite game, "The Cupcake Game".

We have a little frog that lives in our toybox (on the left of the picture). The frog is on my arm in this picture.

We went to the Zoo Park. Always a good time there. When we first walked up to the park, I turned to Grandpa and said, "You watch,  2 minutes and the girls will be asking to be pushed on the swings." Well, I was wrong. It was 1 minute... Haha.

Grandpa brought his drone. He had a lot of fun flying it. We had a lot of fun watching. He made a movie for us. I'll have to try and upload it to youtube and post the link.

Looking at caterpillars in the grass.

Chunk-a-dunk

The girls climbed on the stump and said they wanted their picture taken

Our ward put on a Cultural Festival and we were so excited that Grandpa and Nana would be here for the cool experience.

Cotton candy was first on the list

The guy in charge of the cotton candy machine told me that he had an eye on Brinley and she took over 8 trips for the cotton candy....sweet tooth.  I made sure their teeth were brushed that evening ;)

Dance performances by the Spanish Branch
These are real legit hispanic dances.  This dance is about Tamales

Bouncy house

These cute sisters had a great time and sat next to each other while watching the show.

The girls did the rock wall

This guy loves his jumper and he didn't ever mind he had a blowout while jumping.  Nothing can stop this dude.

Watching Lego Batman Movie
We watched this movie while we were in Gulf Shores with the Van De Graaff's but I didn't love it... It seemed loud and overly sarcastic. Maybe I'm just becoming too soft. Well, Grandpa made fun of me and said to the girls, "Your dad would rather watch Moana because he likes crying more than he likes laughing." It actually made me start to really think about myself and evaluate things. Because, the majority of the time, I would much rather watch something inspirational and meaningful, or at least a true story, than I would, just watch a comedy. Anyway, thanks for the learning experience Dad!

Enjoying the pool: There were a couple days where it was warm enough to swim outside. We also warmed up the pool to like 95 degrees so it felt very warm. I think it was 78 degrees outside.

Beauty Parlor- Nana is getting pampered

Jenny and I love how Nana and Grandpa can be in the moment with these kids.  Our family loves to soak up our time together.

I don't have a picture for it but we really enjoyed our time talking together as adults after the kids were in bed. We also went out to eat, the four of us, on date night. We would often talk for hours, and force ourselves to go to bed, feeling like we could talk forever.

Thanks for a great visit!
