Summer fun!

Summer has come to an end I need to update the blog.
We went to a splash pad that we tried the first time since moving to texas and the kids had a ball there.  We spend 3 hours and they didn't want to leave so we went home a swam in the swimming pool.  The enjoy of water fun!

We have a man in our ward who is the theater teacher at the High School and did a theater camp during the summer (grades 3-9) and they performed Aladdin.  We thought our kids would enjoy seeing other kids perform.  It was so much fun for the girls.  They loved meeting Jasmine at the end of the show.

We enjoy movie days!

Fun at the zoo park!  They were pretending to have a tea party.

This little girl was getting so mad at me because she wanted me to walk with her everywhere she went.  She really wanted to walk and join the fun with her sister instead she had to scoot around on her bum.
Now my bum was in that chair reading a book and watching the girls play.

This summer we spent a lot of time doing arts and crafts.
This is her picture face....cccchhhhhheeeeeeeeeeessssseeeeee!

Making snickerdoodle cookies! Yum!

Daddy is so kind and when it is someone's birthday in his office he takes his whole staff and us to lunch.  We /*

Random story...we were at the zoo park playing and I met this lady with a little girl who is her grandkid.  Turns out she is our neighbor.  We invited them to our house to swim and then they iinvited us to their house to play.

The girls (Ashlyn and Brinley) started taking private lessons for gymnastics.  They enjoy the facility!

We had a water party!  We filled up water balloons, played water balloon volleyball with the towels, and threw water balloons at the trees.

I babysat out of my friend's kids and we had so much fun making bird feeders and watching a princess show.

We tried out a bouce house in the mall for the first time.  The girls had a blast!

Another park date

Claire and I went on a date to get her new running shoes! She was so excited about her new light up shoes!  We also got elf cookies.

This cute little girl started walking and now she is in nursery!  She did so great!
I haven't been to church without a baby in my arms for 5 years!

The girls have gotten into the game Uno.  It is fun to see them always pull it out to play with each other and we enjoy playing it as a family.

This is a new meal I made and it was delicious... it is called sharwarma and it is on pita bread!

We were playing on going to the last summer movie in the movie theater, but Desi was having a cranky morning.  So i bribed the kids to go to the store, get a favorite treat, and we will make a movie theater at home.  The girls were having a difficult time choosing their treat...so many choicies.
They also love the little carts!

I have been working on painting projects in the garage and claire locked Ashlyn, Brinley, and I out of the house.  She refused to open the door and the house turned into a disaster.  After an hour or so, we finally got into the house and Claire was continuing to have her moment of tantrum.

One of the families we love in Lufkin are the Grisels.  They are like family away from family.  They invited us to come over and make cookies and bread.  It was so much fun.  Their kids are so sweet and kind to our kids.  We always have a wonderful time with them.
