Celebration

Our ward put on a constitution celebrate.  It turned out really cool.  They did a couple of talks, including the mayor and then our ward presented him with his 4 generations of family history from our family history center.

The girls with our babysitter Sable and her sister Emma.

Picture with George Washington!

The young women did face painting.  Ashlyn loved her mermaid!

The primary kids sang in the program.  It just cracks me up that Claire goes up with Ashlyn and Brinley whenever they sing in church even though she isn't in primary yet.  ha ha.

Cow Appreciation Day!!!

I love this day... Free food + dressing up!

We went with a friend of Ashlyn's from school and her family.

We went to the chick-fil-a in the mall and there wasn't a lot of people at all.  When we walked into the mall they had these cars that the girls had to test out.

Derek and I have been running in the mornings while A & B ride their bikes and C&D ride in the jogger stroller.  This week when we got back I made some smoothies for breakfast and it was someone's first time having a smoothie from a big girl cup....ha ha.  Desi wasn't very happy.

Derek bought us new family games (mermaid island, dinosaur escape, sneaky, snacky, squirrel, charades for kids, chutes and ladders, and spot it).  It has been so much fun to play games together that everyone enjoys playing.  Mermaid Island seems to be the fave!

We went to the library on Fridays when they have a special guest.  This time it was all about simple machinary that we use everyday.  These girls got to lift a 50 lb bucket using only one finger.

It has been awhile since Derek and I have done one on one dates with the girls and so this weekend each girl got to have a turn.

Claire and I went to Petsmart and looked at all the animals.  She loved it and wanted to sit in this cart.

Watching a dog get their haircut.

Ashlyn and I went to Walmart where she wanted to buy some goggles, but they didn't have any left.  She she decided to use her money instead to buy a toy.  This girl is like her daddy,  has to check out all his options before he can make a decision.

An hour later (no joke), she finally picked out a Doc. McStuffins toy.  Right when we got home, she went to play with her stuffed animals pretending to be Doc. McStuffins.  Two of her animals got married and one got hurt during the ceremony- love her imagination!

Brinley went on her date with Daddy to Petsmart because Claire did.  She had an experience that taught her a lesson of hard work. (Scroll down to learn more).

This week Ashlyn and Brinley did ART CAMP!  They had a blast!

After we dropped off the girls, Claire was sad she didn't get a picture.

Claire and I have had a lot of one on one time together.  It is great to play toys, games (Mermaid Island), stickers, and watch Sofia together.  She is soaking it up, but I think she misses her sisters.

I needed to get out of the house one day and because it is limited in Lufkin, we went to the indoor playplace in the mall.  The girls had a blast.  They spent 2 1/2 hours there and weren't ready to leave.

Ashlyn was such a great big sister to Des.  She would walk with her and slide with her down the slide.  Desi was having so much fun

I was getting ready for the day and it was so quiet.  I knew the girls had to be up to something... this is what I found... them all reading quietly.  This just melts my heart!

We love our dance parties!

Derek and I have been trying new exercises.  We like to do sprints in the church parking lot and the girls can run, ride, or just play.

Sleeping Beauty

Brinley broke an item at the pet store on her date with Daddy and had to earn money to pay for it.  Derek took the girls to the practice to help with yard work.  These girls are hard workers.  It makes us so proud!

These girls worked hard in the heat.  Look at this sweaty face!

We went to the Despicable Me 3 Movie as a family and had a blast!  It was such a cute movie that everyone loved (including Desi who enjoyed walking across in our row most of the time).

Ashlyn was a sweet big sister teaching Brinley how to climb the door and now she is a little monkey that won't stop climbing.  Derek and I will wake up to sound of her feet clumbing up the doorway.  This is her current favorite acitivity.

Desi is still learning to walk.  She recently  walks across the room with Derek and I and Des got brave to walk to the girls.  Sisters were beyond excited!

We were having dinner on Sunday while we were out on the porch and it started to pour (East Texas pour).  Brinley started playing in the rain and everyone else followed.  It was so much fun!  The girls kept saying, "Mom, this is the best day ever.  Can we do this everyday?!"

Claire sneeking the fry sauce.
